Klahoose/Ayajuthem Language Session

FTCCIS hosted Klahoose First Nation Elder, Jesse Louie, and high school students in the Children’s Forest for story-telling and teaching the cultural uses of forest plants for food & medicine. The students were spellbound.  Subsequently, students participated in an Ayajuthem/Klahoose language session, and illustrated interpretive plant signage on the School to Sea trail from Manson’s Landing Provincial Park to the Cortes Island School.
